Abstract:
One example of unirational nonrational varieties is a double
covering of $\mathbb P^3$ ramified in a nodal quartic. I am going to tell
how we can study such coverings and how to prove that in a
special case the covering is certainly nonrational. I will follow
papers by Stephan Endrass.
