Abstract:
In this talk, we discuss the main classification theorem of measure theory. Roughly, the theorem states that "almost all" measure spaces are "essentially" sums of probability spaces of the form $\{0, 1\}^\kappa$. To give an exact statement, we will need to introduce localizable measure spaces, boolean algebras, and measure space algebras.
