Distribution of the order parameter in strongly disordered superconductors

The talk is devoted to the physics of strongly ordered superconductors in general and the results of the speaker on the distribution of the order parameter in these materials in particular. The first part briefly discusses the main qualitative features and issues of physics of strongly ordered superconductors, both from the point of view of experiment and a general approach to theoretical description. In the second part, I present a semi-phenomenological model, which claims to describe the phenomenology discussed before, the method of studying this model based on the approximation of the mean field, and my analytical results. The latter consist in an expression for the distribution of the order parameter, and this expression contains a diverse set of behaviors: from a narrow Gaussian distribution with small values of disorder to a completely non-trivial profile with strong disorder. In the final part of the report, attention will be paid to the physical meaning of the results obtained and discussion of the further development of the proposed theoretical description.
