Noncommutative geometry and Calabi-Yau structure

We give an introduction to the basics of noncommutative geometry of differential graded categories, focusing on the notion of Calabi-Yau structure, which simultaneously generalises the notion of Calabi-Yau variety and closed oriented manifold. We give various examples and, if time permits, some applications to deformation theory and the geometry of moduli spaces.
