The report will consider the main features of the interaction of optical radiation with biological objects, as well as the components of biological tissue that determine the absorption and scattering of electromagnetic radiation in the optical range. In addition, the physical basis of the optoacoustic effect and its application in medicine will be described. Part of the report will be related to the technology of liquid biopsy, using exosomes as markers. At the end of the report, the main trends in the development of modern biophotonics will be formulated.
