Scattering of laser light by polystyrene solutions in benzene

Abstract: An investigation was made of the scattering of laser light in benzene solutions of polystyrene. The angular distribution of the scattering intensity was determined in the range 30–150° for various concentrations of the solutions. The scattering measurements were used to determine the molecular weight of the solution and the virial coefficient A2.
