Possible observations of explosive absorption in CuCl under conditions of resonant formation of biexcitons

A. L. Gyulamiryan, Kh. V. Nerkararyan
Abstract: The absorption of an electromagnetic wave caused by a resonant transition from an exciton state to a biexciton state in a CuCl crystal is discussed. It is found that the absorption coefficient may increase anomalously when an exciton molecule decays. This is a threshold process and is observed only above a specific incident wave intensity.
