Parametric analysis of a pulse H2–F2 laser

Abstract:
A parametric model of a pulse chemical H2–F2 laser is used in a calculation of the laser output energy as a function of the initial conditions. The results of these calculations are in agreement with the experimental data. An analysis is made of the relative positions of the photoinitiated explosion and laser thresholds as a function of the ratio of the duration of an initiating pulse to the characteristic relaxation time.
