Computer model for quasioptic waveguide lasers

Abstract: A description is given of a numerical model of a semiconductor laser with a quasioptic waveguide (index guide). This model can be used on a personal computer. The model can be used to find the radiation field distributions in the vertical and lateral directions, the pump currents at the threshold, and also to solve dynamic rate equations.
