Coherent two-photon interaction of laser radiation with Frenkel excitons

Abstract: It is shown theoretically that self-induced transparency may occur during propagation of a laser radiation pulse in the case of two-photon interaction with small-radius excitons. An experimental method for the observation of this effect is suggested.
