Gasdynamic laser using a CO–Ar mixture

Abstract: The results are presented of investigations of a gasdynamic laser using CO–Ar mixtures. An output power of 20 W, a specific output energy of 5.9 J/g, and an efficiency of 0.5 % were achieved. Information is given on the attainment of laser emission from pure carbon monoxide.
