SRS of ultrashort laser pulses with nonlinear phase modulation

Abstract:
The SRS process in the regime of nonlinear phase modulation of laser and Stokes radiation waves is studied experimentally. The effect of the relationship between the laser and Stokes wavelengths on the value of the minimum laser pulse duration, at which an efficient SRS process is possible, is ascertained. The possibility of obtaining maximally broadband Stokes radiation pulses by matching the group velocities of the laser and Stokes pulses is demonstrated.
