Experimental investigation of the coupling between fluctuations in the radiation energy at the fundamental and second-harmonic frequencies of a single-frequency passively Q-switched neodymium laser

Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the coupling between fluctuations in the fundamental and second-harmonic pulses generated by a single-frequency neodymium laser with passive Q switching of the resonator. An analysis of the experimental results led to the conclusion that fluctuations of the radiation energy at the fundamental frequency were accompanied by correlated fluctuations in the duration of the output pulses.
