Modelling of the dynamics of parameters of nematic liquid-crystal layers

Abstract: Equations describing the dynamics of a nematic liquid-crystal layer are derived and investigated. These equations are suitable for a qualitative description of the dynamic characteristics of electrooptic light modulators based on liquid-crystal layers. A theoretical model is compared with the experimental results.
