Stabilization of laser frequency by "extremum storage" automatic control systems

Abstract: It is shown that an "extremum storage" method, used in automatic control, can be employed in the frequency stabilization of lasers emitting infrared and submillimeter radiation. A design calculation is given for an automatic control system of this type and expressions are deduced for the quality of the control.
