Abstract: An investigation was made of a wide-angle high-resolution system for conversion of infrared into visible images. An angular aperture of 49° and an angular resolution of 1' (in the field of view) were achieved in the conversion of λ = 1.06 μ into λ = 0.69 μ radiation by pumping a KDP crystal. The number of converted resolvable elements was 106. The system could be used to convert infrared into visible holograms.
