Mode locking in solid-state lasers with a linear external resonator using media emitting broadband luminescence when subjected to transient synchronous pumping

Abstract: It is shown numerically that ultrashort pulses can be generated in solid-state media emitting broadband luminescence if an additional linear resonator is used in the case of synchronous pumping by a limited train of ultrashort pulses.
