Parametric generation of "squeezed" pulses in dispersive nonlinear media

Abstract:
A numerical simulation of the formation of optical pulses in a traveling-wave parametric oscillator was used to establish that squeezed quantum states can only be formed efficiently under conditions of zero dispersion of the refractive index at the signal frequency.
