Concept of a stochastically infinite length of a waveguide of limited extent (methodological comments)
L. A. Rivlin
Abstract:
The concept of a stochastically infinite length of a waveguide is introduced and defined as the distance from its entry at which the response to a probe signal becomes indistinguishable from the fluctuation background. It is shown that generalization of this approach to a wide class of other phenomena and objects is highly fruitful.
