Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the influence of high-molecular compounds on the temperature of the gaseous medium and on the output power of a CO2 laser. The temperature of the gaseous medium decreased on introduction of small amounts (~5%) of SnCl4, CCl4, Fe(CO)5, and MoF6 impurities. The rate constants of deactivation of the 001 CO2 level were determined for mixtures to which various high-molecular compounds were added. It was established that a resonant interaction of MoF6, SnCl4, and other molecules with the 010 level of CO2 influenced the output power of the investigated CO2 laser.
