Initiation of explosive boiling and optical breakdown as a result of the action of laser pulses on melanosome in pigmented biotissues
V. K. Pustovalov Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy,
Abstract:
An analytic model is proposed for the heating of a pigmented melanosome (spherical granule) in biotissues by a laser radiation pulse. This model makes it possible to estimate the threshold energies or radiation intensities initiating optical breakdown, explosive boiling of water, and selective thermal denaturation of granules. The results of calculations based on this model are compared with experimental data, and good agreement between them is demonstrated.
