Influence of induced absorption in the reflector material on the efficiency of solid-state lasers

Abstract:
Experimental investigations were made of the influence of induced absorption in the material of a quartz reflector on the efficiency of a solid-state laser. It was found that the experimental values agreed with the estimates of the relative change in the laser efficiency calculated on a computer using the Monte Carlo method.
