Fastest algorithms for adaptive optical systems with flexible mirrors

A new aperture-tagging algorithm for adaptive optical systems with multichannel phase modulation is proposed and investigated. It has a number of advantages over the familiar gradient methods. The use of this algorithm makes it possible to eliminate the dependence of the controlling signals in control channels on one another and to reduce the response time of the system.
