Dynamics of the spectra of coupled lasers

An investigation was made of the spectral characteristics of the radiation emitted by a ruby laser with a pronounced transverse field structure when a narrow spectral line of a second laser was injected into the resonator of the first laser as a stimulus. The dynamics of the emission spectrum was found to be governed by the gap between the frequency of the stimulating radiation and the maximum of the gain profile.
