Abstract:
Spectral dispersion of a light beam by a diffraction grating is investigated in order to prove the feasibility of formation of a light ‘flash’ moving at an arbitrary velocity along a certain axis z. An experimental demonstration is reported of a tilt of the coherence layers relative to the constant-phase planes when light is diffracted by a grating.
