Effect of phase self-modulation of light on cooperative Raman scattering

Abstract: An investigation is made of the influence of time modulation of the permittivity of a medium, induced by a high-power scattering field pulse, on the temporal characteristics of cooperative scattering. It is shown that the resultant phase self-modulation increases the delay time and reduces slightly the pulse duration of the cooperative scattering intensity.
