Semirigid Chain Molecules

Abstract: The problem of the extent to which the hydrodynamic and optical behaviour of chain molecules in solutions can be used for the observation and the quantitative assessment of their rigidity and of the internal ordering of their structures is examined. The general theoretical positions are illustrated by experimental results for a series of polymers, the molecules of which have a rigid chain structure. There is a bibliography of 106 references.
