Spectroscopic and Quantum-chemical Studies on the Active Centres in Anionic Polymerisation

The mechanisms and consequences of complex formation in systems incorporating organometallic compounds are discussed on the basis of spectroscopic and quantum-chemical characteristics of alkyl, alkenyl, and aryl derivatives of lithium and certain other metals in the absence and presence of electron donors. Particular attention is devoted to "living" anionic chains.
