Molecular Weight Distribution in the Production of Homopolymers

Abstract:
The principal mathematical methods for the simulation of the molecular weight distributions (MWD) in homopolymers obtained by radical polymerisation are examined. An attempt is made at a survey and a systematic arrangement of mathematical models in terms of kinetic mechanisms, type of reaction apparatus, and the mathematical procedure used.
