Catalytic Cyclo-oligomerisation Reactions of Lower Olefins and Alkanes with Formation of Aromatic Hydrocarbons

O. V. Bragin

N. D. Zelinskii Institute of Organic Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The results of studies devoted to the aromatisation of lower (C2–C5) olefins and alkanes in the presence of a number of metal oxide and oxide catalysts are examined. The type of aromatisation discussed constitutes a new potential source of benzene and its nearest homologues, the need for which has been rapidly increasing.
