Experimental Study of Chemical Processes under Dynamic Compression Conditions

G. A. Adadurov

Institute of Chemical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The results are given of studies on the creation of a set of systems for the preservation of specimens of condensed substances subjected to dynamic pressures with different types of stress applied to the specimens: with single and stepwise shock compression and also with nearly isentropic compression. The conditions in the compression of substances in protective tubes using cylindrical and planar compression schemes are examined. Examples of various chemical processes under these conditions are given, attention being concentrated on the reactions of organic substances.
