NMR Spectroscopy of Polyfluorinated Allyl Cations

V. I. Bakhmutov, M. V. Galakhov

A. N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The results of the NMR study of the hydrocarbon allyl cations are briefly surveyed. The 13C and 19F NMR spectra of polyfluorinated cyclic and acyclic allyl cations are considered and the spectral features of their formation in solutions are discussed. The influence of substituents and of the positive charge on the chemical shifts and the spin–spin coupling constants 1J(13C–19F) and 4J(19F–19F) of polyfluorinated allyl cations are considered. NMR data are presented on the relative stabilities of polyfluorinated allyl cations.
