Inhibitors of the lipoxygenase conversion of polyenoic acids

In this reivew lipoxygenase inhibitors are classified and their inhibitory activity, mode of action, specificity, and chemical synthesis are examined. The future prospects for using them to study enzymatic conversions and the development of antiallergic and antiinflammatory drugs from them are discussed.
