G. A. Artamkina, S. V. Kovalenko, I. P. Beletskaya, O. A. Reutov

M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University
Abstract: Methods for introducing a new carbon–carbon bond into aromatic compounds containing such electron-accepting groups as NO2, SO2CF3, or oxazoline and into perfluoroarenes are discussed in the review. These methods comprise SNAr reactions, oxidation of anionic σ-complexes, isolated previously or obtained in situ, and vicarious nucleophilic substitution reactions.
