Abstract:
The problem for contactless thickness measurements of hot metal sheet has been considered. Measurement device calibration problem with the set of thickness measurements has been posed. The calibration problem has been recast to the linear ill-conditioned system $A_hx=b_\delta$ with both inaccurate matrix $A_h$ and right-hand side $b_\delta$. A method for estimation of operator error has been proposed.
