Project schedulewith work durationspresented by lrfuzzy numbers

Abstract: We suggest using LR fuzzy numbers as work durations in a project schedule. This model allows performing closed form analysis under uncertainty. It results in relatively simple expressions, which reduce computation volume as compared with existing models of work duration (traditional fuzzy numbers or random variables). We derive the expression for the total project duration under a given network schedule and define a binary “maximum”function for the set of LR fuzzy numbers.
