90th ANNIVERSARY of the P.L. KAPITZA INSTITUTE for PHYSICAL PROBLEMS, RUSSIAN ACADEMY of SCIENCES. CONFERENCES AND SYMPOSIA
Joint Scientific Session of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Scientific Council of the P.L. Kapitza Institute for Physical Problems (IPP) RAS, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of IPP RAS (IPP RAS, 18 December 2024)
Abstract:
On December 18, 2024, at 15:00, a joint meeting of the Academic Council of the P.L. Kapitza Institute for Physical Problems (IPP RAS) combined with the Scientific Session of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of IPP RAS, was held in the Conference Hall of the IPP RAS.
The following reports and speeches were presented at the joint meeting of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the IPP RAS:
1. Kleev A.I., Troyanovsky A.M. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “Brief report on establishment and history of Institute for Physical Problems of Russian Academy of Sciences”;
2. Troyanovsky A.M. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “Demonstration of newsreels”;
3. Fomin I.A. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “A.F. Andreev: scientist, director, academician.”
After the historical part of the meeting, greetings and congratulations were given to the staff of the IPP RAS from the management of the Physical Sciences Division of the RAS and colleagues from other institutes of the RAS, as well as from other institutions and organizations. Next, the following scientific reports and communications were heard:
4. Edelman V.S. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “Influence of external factors on low-temperature conductivity of superconductor–insulator–normal-metal tunnel structures”;
5. Ryazanov V.V. (Yu.A. Osipyan Institute of Solid State Physics RAS, Chernogolovka, Moscow Region and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, National Research University), Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region) "Josephson $\pi$-junctions and ‘engineering’ of Andreev current transport in S–N/F–S nanostructures";
6. Smirnov A.I. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “Fermi liquid of spinons in quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnets”;
7. Tikhonov A.M. (IPP RAS, Moscow) “On applied developments at IPP.”
Articles and reviews written on the basis of the presented papers 1 and 4–7 are published further in this issue of the journal Physics–Uspekhi (Uspekhi Fizicheskikh Nauk) (see Refs [1–5]).
