Smart home user profiles

Abstract: This study presents some issues of smart home technology and proposes a solution based on user profiles. The paper includes a brief review of smart home platforms. We identified user categories and profiles, their preferences, possible conflicts, and resolutions. We also present a Profile Manager software implemented in XML, and a neural network-based algorithm to track the user activity.
