Abstract:
The dependence of the absorption coefficient on temperature in the p-Ge crystals by $\lambda=10.6$ mkm laser radiation has been investigated experimentally. The experiment has been carried out in a wide temperature range of 300K$\div$8K for different concentrations of germanium. The obtained results clearly illustrate and confirm the supposed mechanisms of infrared radiation absorption by hole germanium. It is proved that in the range of higher temperatures 300K$\div$40K the absorption is due to direct optical transmissions, and in range of lower temperatures 40K$\div$8K it is due to mixture absorption.
