On the Onsager's Model in the Neighborhood of the Phase Transition Point

Abstract:
A global solution of the nonlinear integral Onsager's equation is studied in the small neighborhood of the critical point. The equation models the orientational phase transition from isotropic to anisotropic (nematic) phase in the system of stiff-elongated rods. The thermodynamic state of this system is studied.
