Abstract:
The article sets out reasons for necessity to use basic principles and rules of the theory of automatic control with respect to processes that take place in a typical transformer. The authors state that transformers can be referred to self-adjusting automated control systems. The article describes a transformer operating into resistive load. There are given equations describing current processes. In the course of the equation solving normal magnetization curve of the core material was taken as a magnetic characteristic. Equation solving is based on a linear part of a magnetization curve in view of the fact that degree of magnetization depends of the core material. Equation solving was carried out in the form of Laplace transform, structural-dynamic diagrams were built using principles of the automatic control theory. The authors infer that transformer magnetic core upgrading is one of the ways to add linearity to nonlinear characteristics of the transformer, which helps enhance its performance.
