Parallel algorithms for solving two-phase flow problems with fine grid segments

P. A. Mazurova, A. V. Tsepaev

a Research Institute of Mechanics and Machinery of Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: Two parallel algorithms have been developed to solve the three-dimensional two-phase flow equation on a coarse grid with fine grid segments. The first algorithm has been suggested to solve the equation for pressure, the second one to solve the equation for saturation. These algorithms show their efficiency with increasing number of fine grid segments.
Keywords: two-phase filtration of liquid, parallel computing, condensing grids, grid equations, pressure/gravity filtration.
