Abstract: We outline some recent results on rates of convergence of regularization methods for linear ill-posed operator equations in Hilbert and Banach spaces. Special attention is paid to the necessity of sourcewise representation conditions for power estimates of convergence rates of the methods under consideration.
Keywords: regularization methods, nonlinear operator equations, sourcewise representation, ill-posed problems.
