Abstract: The main results of thermodynamic calculations of combustion reaction of pyrotechnic gas generating cartridges for powder fire extinguishers are presented in the paper. Adiabatic temperature and combustion products are determined based on the calculations. Chemical compounds for the gas generating cartridge with low temperature generated gases are defined.
