Mechanics

Deformation properties of materials in combination of alternating plastic flow and ratcheting

Yu. N. Rebyakov, O. F. Cherniavsky

South Ural State University
References:
Abstract: A new test method for determining the mechanical properties of materials under low-cycle deformation with non-zero plastic strain range and strain increments per cycle. Basic laws for deformation properties and their changes due to the mutual influence of cyclic hardening and quasi-static strain hardening are established for several typical steels.
Keywords: cyclic inelastic deformation, strain accumulation, ratcheting, strain hardening.
