Abstract: This volume is the first part of a two-volume issue dedicated to the anniversary of Academician Sergei Petrovich Novikov. The papers presented in this volume focus on the problems of topology, geometry, theory of dynamical systems, and mathematical physics – fields of research in which Novikov earned worldwide reputation, opened new directions, and founded a large scientific school.
The volume is addressed to scientists and postgraduates who are interested in the problems of the above-listed fields of science.
