The volume is dedicated to the 60th birthday of D. V. Treschev and to the 70th birthday of S. V. Bolotin, well-known specialists in the field of analytical mechanics and dynamical systems theory. The volume presents articles devoted to various mathematical aspects of classical mechanics, including the theory of diffeomorphisms of basis sets, the topology of ambient manifolds of regular homeomorphisms, the theory of normal forms, and bifurcations in integrable dynamical systems. Mechanical consequences of the study of model dynamical systems are also considered: forced oscillations on manifolds, singularities of localized motions in the neighborhood of an equilibrium position, the motion of a massive particle on a rough surface under the action of dry friction, Lyapunov functions and energy decay in Hamiltonian chains with dissipation, and problems of rotational motion of celestial bodies. In addition, some questions of the theory of wave dynamics of long nonlinear waves in hydromechanics, questions of wave motions in the theory of nonlinear elasticity and hydroelasticity, and some particular problems of physics are investigated.
The articles in the volume present new results and are authored by major specialists in the fields of mathematics and mechanics.
