Design of an adaptive system for stabilization of a linear dynamic plant

Abstract: The problem of linear dynamic plant adaptive stabilization system design is formulated. Adaptivity conditions are obtained that are necessary and sufficient for the existence of a quadratic Lyapunov function in the system designed. The system is shown to preserve the adaptivity in face of time decaying disturbances. Examples of using the results obtained are given.
