Abstract: It is proposed to use granular foam glass as an alternative aggregate for syntactic composite materials. Studies have been carried out on the preparation and physical-mechanical properties of composite materials with aggregate made of granular foam glass and a high degree of filling. To create compositions, binders based on polyester and polyurethane matrices were used. During compression in the cylinder of granular foam glass, a mechanism for the destruction of granules was revealed and the conditions for producing highly filled composites were established. The influence of the nature of the binder and the pressing pressure of the workpiece on the apparent density and strength of the resulting composite materials was studied.
Keywords: polymer composite materials, granulation foamglass, polyester and polyurethane matrices.
