Abstract: The supply of natural gas to the tuyere for the hot blast of the blast furnace, carried out in order to save coke, leads to an increase in heat losses through the walls of the tuyere channel and a decrease in its service life. To reduce heat losses and increase the service life of the tuyere, thermal insulation inserts are used in the channel for blowing - they reduce heat losses through the channel walls, but are prone to destruction under the influence of thermal stresses. The paper considers an increase in the durability and thermal insulation ability of a ceramic insert into a channel for supplying hot blast due to the installation of a ceramic bandage in the form of a ring in it. In the Ansys environment, the processes occurring in the blast channel of a blast furnace truck with a ceramic insert with a bandage installed in this channel were simulated. It is established that a greater completeness of the gorenje reaction and an increase in the temperature of the hot blast is achieved by using a ceramic bandage. The minimum values of stresses and deformations are achieved in the design variant in which the bandage closes the cavity between the insert and the flange. At the same time, the values of temperatures, stresses and deformations in the bandage are less than in the insert itself.
